Date: Wednesday, October 3rd
Time: 7:45- 9:45pm
Since the moment we are born, our response to physical or emotional threat is to draw our knees to our chest and curl up into a fetal position for protection, by contracting our hip flexors. These muscles never fully released, trapping not only phisical tension, but emotional tension too. Whether it is one traumatic event, or multiple small events, the feelings of fear, anxiety and sadness are stored at the hips until we invite them to come to the surface allowing a release. The longer you suppress emotion, the tighter the grasp. Stretching the hips causes a release and allows stuck emotions to escape.
In this 2 hour workshop we will deeply open up the hips to then engage in a guided mindfulness meditation.
No previous experience is required, all you need to bring is the intention to conect with yourself, body and mind.
Cost is $35 (10% discount to members)
To ensure quality, this wprkshop is limited to 20 students
